Women’s Jackets – What Style Will You Be Wearing This Season?
Everybody knows that women aren’t happy with just one style of jacket in their wardrobe – there are loads of styles to choose from and so we’ve put together this guide to the hottest jackets this season. First up is the bomber – available in a range of fabrics from leather to suede to nylon – this jacket is versatile, trendy and warm. It zips up to keep out the wind and is usually well-padded, meaning you can throw it on over a tee or sweater and still stay warm in style.
If you’re after a casual yet still fashionable option this winter, the duffle coat is also very popular. The duffle coat looks great in dark colors such as black or grey, and looks equally as good in lipstick red or bottle green. Its loose styling means that it’s a great coat for when you’re wearing lots of layers and its trademark duffle buttons add an interesting style quirk for when you’re out and about. They come in different lengths, too, so you can choose what’s best for you.
If you want a smarter, more tailored jacket option, then look no further than the classic blazer. These are a great way to look smart at work or to keep warm on a night out with the girls (and guys). Pinstripes are brilliant for a slightly quirky yet still formal look or, if you’re feeling brave, you could try wearing a bright-colored blazer for a brilliant winter style statement. The clean cut of the tailoring means that blazers are very flattering and are fantastic for transitioning between seasons.
Speaking of putting your own stamp on a classic, the winter favorite parka is back in fashion and better than ever. Khaki is still the most popular color for the parka and it’s easy to see why – it goes with pretty much everything and suits everyone. The parka is loose and warm and zips up to your neck, keeping you warm. You can get padded versions as well as longer length coats, which are great with skirt suits as well as more casual clothes.
If you’re looking to make more of a statement with your winter coat, then the military style jacket is fashionable this season. Many of them come with embroidered trim in the style of real-life army jackets, and their great tailoring means you can be sure of looking brilliant no matter the occasion. These jackets look best in shades of khaki or other dark colors and are absolutely fantastic over cute tops on nights out. Their buttons are their most interesting feature, so make sure to make the most of them.
